ExclusiveCarphone Warehouse results show 'considerable success', says CEO

Carphone Warehouse Group plc has published its preliminary results for the financial year ended 31st March 2011.

It says its share of Best Buy Europe's net income was up 28% year-on-year to £60.4 million, while CPW Europe grew 18% to £134.6 million. However, Best Buy UK saw a loss of £62.2 million.

ExclusiveApple agrees to pay Nokia as patent litigation ends

Nokia has signed a patent license agreement with Apple that'll see all patent litigation settled between the companies.

The specific terms of the contract are confidential, although there'll be a one-off payment payable by Apple and on-going royalties paid by Apple to Nokia for the term of the agreement.

Contact information and expiry dates for minimum-term contracts were being sold to third parties, enabling mobile phone dealers to target potential customers who were in a position to sign a new contract... which could earn the dealer hundreds of pounds for a new connection.
