WiFi to be provided on Eurostar trains from next year

Nomad Digital says it’ll be providing cross-channel Eurostar trains with WiFi throughout the journey from next year.

The company, which provides wireless technology for the transportation sector, was awarded the contract by Eurostar last September. Eurostar’s fleet of 27 trains will start being refurbished and equipped with WiFi technology from September 2012.

Eurostar will also provide its own information and entertainment via the WiFi service. Charges have not yet been revealed.
