Huawei launches its Honor 6 smartphone

Huawei has launched a new smartphone in Europe using the Honor brand.

The Honor 6 doesn’t have strong Huawei branding. Instead, it’s been given its own web site - hihonor.com - and is encouraging the use of hashtag #forthebrave on social media.

It’s expected to be sold online at a SIM-free price of around £249.00.

Features include a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5 megapixel front camera, a 3100mAh battery and a 5-inch Full HD screen. It’s running Android 4.4 on Huawei’s own octa-core processor, which combines four 1.7GHz cores with four 1.3GHz cores.
