Google has introduced two new features for the ‘Froyo’ Android 2.2 mobile operating system today. It’s added a new Chrome to Phone extension to its desktop Chrome web browser that synchronises information - a web page, map, YouTube video, selected phone number or text - to an Android device running v2.2 of the OS.

And it’s also created Voice Actions for Android; a set of spoken commands that let users make calls, send SMS texts, browse the web and complete a number of other tasks. This adds to Android’s existing voice dictation and search features. Voice Actions currently only offers US English.
