Motorola RAZRThe latest member of the Motorola RAZR family has been announced by Motorola Mobility. It’s just 7.1mm deep with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen and will run Android 2.3.5 on a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. The rear-facing camera captures 8-megapixel photos and 1080p video.

Sanjay Jha, chairman and CEO at Motorola Mobility, said “Motorola RAZR is an iconic brand, and one that originally revolutionized the mobile device industry by turning a functional necessity into an object of desire. Now we’ve done it again with a head-turning, ultra-thin smartphone that offers users breathtaking speed, innovative apps and revolutionary accessories.”

Protective features include KEVLAR fibre, Corning ‘Gorilla Glass’ protection for the screen and a splash-guard coating. There’ll also be an optional ‘Lapdock’ that - much like the Motorola Atrix - offers laptop-style usage.

The new Motorola RAZR will be available in Europe, North America, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa from this November. The version offered by Verizon Wireless - called the DROID RAZR by Motorola - is being billed as the world’s thinnest 4G LTE smartphone.

In addition, Motorola announced the Android-powered MOTOACTV wearable fitness device. It’s styled to look like a wristwatch and can connect wirelessly with an Android phone. The MOTOACTV will be available from Verizon Wireless next month, followed by availability in Latin America and Europe next year.
