Net Nanny, a brand name that's been filtering websites and protecting users for fifteen years, has just launched a mobile version of its service. Net Nanny Mobile has been created in partnership with SMobile Systems to give parents access to the content on their children's smartphones.
Net Nanny Mobile lets users:
view the content of email, SMS and picture messages on the phone,
view all pictures taken, sent and received,
view logs of all calls,
view the address book and all applications installed on the phone,
view the phone location on Google Maps,
backup, lock, wipe or restore the device remotely,
protect against viruses, and
filter calls and text messages.
An updated version next year will also allow filtering of mobile internet sites.
Net Nanny Mobile works with Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Symbian Series 60 and Google Android phones. Pricing is $29.99 (around £18) per year for the first phone and $14.99 for each additional phone. [Press release]
