The number of mobile broadband connections in the USA will double by 2015, says new research

The number of active mobile broadband devices is expected to reach 34 million by the end of 2015, according to a new report from The NPD Group.

That’s almost a 50% increase from 2013.

Nokia suspends Lumia 2520 tablet sales and advises customers not to use mains charger

Nokia has advised UK customers with a Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet NOT to use the AC-300 mains charger or optional travel charger any more.

It says it’s possible for the plastic cover of the plug to become loose, which could expose live wires inside.

Orange Money reaches 10 million customers worldwide

The Orange Money service now has 10 million customers worldwide, less than six years after it launched and less than two years after passing the 5 million mark.

Last year, transactions worth over €2.2 billion were conducted through Orange Money.

Telefonica is setting up its own mobile ad exchange platform

Telefónica has announced the creation of a mobile advertising exchange platform called Axonix.

It’s been set up in partnership with GSO Capital Partners, which is part of investment company Blackstone.
