Kaspersky and Qualcomm sign agreement to protect Android smartphones and tablets

Digital security company Kaspersky Lab has signed an agreement with Qualcomm that’ll enable manufacturers to pre-load Kaspersky’s mobile security products on smartphones and tablets.

It’s offering special terms to companies creating Android devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

Kaspersky Lab discovers Android malware that infects PCs

The securelist.com blog run by anti-virus specialists Kaspersky Lab has discovered a malicious Android app that targeted the user’s computer as well as their phone.

Consumers who downloaded an app called ‘Superclean’ or ‘DroidCleaner’ risked infecting their desktop computer with malware.

Kaspersky Labs warns of potential malware on Apple and Android devices

Anti-virus software company Kaspersky Lab is warning of an application that secretly uploads a user’s phonebook to a remote server, from where ‘spam’ SMS messages are sent.

The app, called ‘Find and Call’, was available in iOS and Android versions via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
