OtterBox has acquired TreeFrog Developments, the company behind the LifeProof brand.
Both are US-based companies that make protective cases for smartphones and tablets. OtterBox was established in 1998, while LifeProof was founded in 2009.

Musician will.i.am, best known for his work with the Black Eyed Peas, has revealed a new iPhone accessory that’ll go on sale in Selfridges London from 6th December.
The i.am+™ foto.sosho™ fits on an iPhone 4 or 4S and offers a choice of different lenses. As well as making the iPhone appear more like a conventional camera, it also offers control of the camera features, photo editing and photo sharing via social networks.

The last few days have been particularly busy for UK telecoms regulator Ofcom. It started the week by announcing its rules for next year’s UK 4G mobile spectrum auction – expect services to go live in around six months – and it ended the week with plans to avoid a 5G capacity crunch.
