The Advertising Standards Authority has not upheld complaints about a series of Phones 4U television ads that featured a ghost-like child.
A number of the advertisements were short two-second ads showing the ghostly girl, while the final ad in the sequence was a 30-second scene that took place in an underground car park. The tagline to the ads was “Missing our deals will haunt you”.

This year’s Orange Exposure report, an independent study by TNS on behalf of Orange, has revealed a wide range of information about mobile media habits across the UK, France, Spain and Poland. Although this is the fourth annual report, it’s the first time tablet data has been included.
According to the research, smartphones are generally used to ‘kill time’ when access to other screens isn’t available, while tablets are used to ‘save time’ when using other screens would be less efficient.

Around 40% of tablet and smartphone owners in the USA used their devices daily while watching TV, according to a study from Nielsen. This contrasts with the 14% of eBook reader owners who watched TV while using their device every day.

Orange has launched what it’s calling the UK’s first multimedia ‘swappable’ benefits on a Pay Monthly tariff.
The company’s ‘Panther’ tariff now lets customers choose from a menu of premium benefits, with the option of changing their choices every month. In addition, Panther will still include an allowance of minutes, text messages and data.
