There's plenty of product news in this week's podcast, with a new Apple iPad and new tablets from Nokia and Argos as well.

Less than a week after HMV announced its new digital music service and mobile apps, the company’s iOS app has been suspended from the Apple App Store.

Android and iOS apps were both launched by HMV on Thursday 17th, offering users the ability to browse HMV’s digital catalogue, listen to audio clips and buy MP3 downloads.

Pedestrians may have been skating down pavements but a different kind of trouble on the high street dominated much of last week as music, DVD and occasional mobile phone retailer HMV went into administration.

We start this week with a look at troubled UK retailer HMV before moving on to research that sheds new light on mobile data usage.

You'll also find a new mapping app, increasing free WiFi coverage, a phone service designed for children and preliminary quarterly results from Samsung and Nokia.

Entertainment retailer HMV is reported to be appointing Deloitte as its administrator, although its shops in the UK and Ireland will remain open during the search for a buyer.

The company, which opened its first shop in 1921, currently has over 200 stores and employs over 4,000 people.
