HP sues Oracle over appointment of Mark Hurd

The recent announcement that former HP CEO Mark Hurd was joining Oracle as company president is now seeing a legal challenge from HP. Oracle CEO Larry Ellison made the initial announcement on Tuesday, saying "Mark did a brilliant job at HP and I expect he’ll do even better at Oracle".

However HP has said Mr Hurd's new role breaks an agreement he made with them and would "give Oracle a strategic advantage as to where to allocate or not allocate resources and exploit the knowledge of HP's strengths and weaknesses".
