HTC quarterly results show revenue and profit down

HTC has reported its first-quarter results for 2012, having published unaudited figures earlier this month. Revenue was NT$67.79 billion (around £1.42 billion; down 34.9% year-on-year), with net income at NT$4.47 billion (down 69.9%).

However, the company says it expects Q2 2012 to be better, with newer products such as the HTC One range helping revenue back up to its 2011 levels.
