Yahoo's reorganisation echoes Google's 'Mobile First' rule

Yahoo is changing its attitude to mobile communications by reorganising the company, reports mocoNews.net. The report says it's breaking up its dedicated mobile team and is integrating those mobile-focussed staff into its product teams.

A number of Yahoo's mobile staff have left recently, including Yahoo’s Mobile General Manager Mitch Lazar who quit last week.

The move - "infusing mobile throughout the organization", as Cory Pforzheimer, Yahoo’s senior manager of corporate communications, put it – echoes the words of Google CEO Eric Schmidt at Mobile World Congress when he talked about his company's new aim of 'Mobile First'.
