Orange UK joins the Mobile WiFi crowd

Orange is the latest network to start offering a Mobile WiFi product. It's offering a branded version of the Novatel Wireless MiFi 3352; a new device with support for applications that can be viewed from any connected laptop or tablet. It can deliver download speeds up to 7.2 megabits per second (in theory, at least) and supports up to five simultaneous users with a 10-metre range. The Mobile WiFi device costs from £75 on a 1-month contract.

Orange Mobile WiFiPhil Roberson, Director of Devices for Everything Everywhere, said "We're excited to be rolling out the world’s first truly intelligent mobile hotspot. One of the key drivers for differentiation is the operating system and the simple access to new widgets and apps on the mobile WiFi. As a result, this new device complements our mobile broadband offering perfectly."

In addition, Orange UK is now offering the Samsung N150 netbook with Orange mobile broadband on an embedded SIM. Purchase price is £80 on a 24-month £25 monthly tariff.
