Google Glass wearable mobile device will ship in the USA next year

The ‘Google Glass’ wearable mobile computing device will be available to buy early next year - but only to US-based mobile developers. Developers who attended Google’s I/O conference this week have been invited to pre-order the headset, which is expected to sell for $1,500.

Sergey Brin, Google’s CEO, made the announcement today after a Google Glass demonstration that showcased the display and video camera capabilities of the prototype device.

Full details and specifications of Google’s glasses still haven’t been released.
