Google Glass wearable technology comes to the UK

Google has started selling its Google Glass wearable glasses-style computers in the UK. They’re currently priced at £1,000 including frames or sunshades.

The UK launch is the first time Google Glass has officially gone on sale anywhere outside the USA.

However, the Google Glass project is still being described as an open beta for ‘Explorers’ (developers and early adopters) rather than being aimed at consumers.

Google Glass demo days have been arranged in London for Friday and Saturday this week.

Meanwhile, Google’s I/O developer conference opens in San Francisco tomorrow, with more wearable devices expected to be announced.
