The end of the honeymoon for 3G mobile broadband?

Media research company Screen Digest says the rate of growth in the 3G mobile broadband market is set for a big fall in the next couple of years. Ronan de Renesse, one of the company’s Senior Analysts, says the market is likely to suffer from churn as minimum-term contracts end and consumers become disappointed by network speed. Overall consumer numbers will continue to rise but growth will have slowed to 4.7% in Europe by 2010, at which point 4G technology will start to eat into the connection figures. [Press release]
