O2 appeals to Competition Appeals Tribunal for permission to use 3G on 900MHz and 1800MHz

Last year the European Commission said that the 900MHz and 1800MHz frequencies need no longer be restricted to 2G (GSM) services but could also be used for 3G (UMTS). However, UK regulator Ofcom still hasn't changed its rules – and now O2 is appealing to the Competition Appeals Tribunal.
