Quarterly results from HTC show revenue down 58%

HTC has published results for the second quarter of its financial year, with revenue of NT$91.04 billion (£1.95 billion) and net income of NT$7.40 billion. Both figures are up from the previous quarter but down year-on-year.

The company expects third quarter revenue to be down year-on-year to around NT$70-80 billion. It recently sold part of its share in the Beats audio brand, which it bought last year, back to the founders.
