Tesco Mobile launches 4G on its UK virtual network

UK MVNO Tesco Mobile has launched 4G on ‘pay monthly’ deals for new and existing customers. Customers can choose to pay an extra £2.50 per month if they want 4G connectivity added to their existing tariff, including SIM-only contracts.

This enables customers to use 4G from £10 per month with 500MB of data and an allowance of 250 minutes of calls.

Tesco Mobile uses the O2 network, which means its 4G coverage is currently available in Birmingham, Bradford, Coventry, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Nottingham and Sheffield.

Simon Groves, Chief Marketing Officer of Tesco Mobile and Tesco Telecoms, said “4G is amazing and will revolutionise the way we use our mobile phones so of course we want to make it accessible and easy for all our customers to try it and enjoy it. As Tesco Mobile launches 4G we’re bringing it to all our customers at a great value price and if it’s not for them, they can switch back to 3G or adjust their 4G data allowance to suit their needs whenever they like.  It’s why we call it Flexi-bendi 4G and its what makes our 4G offering the most customer centric in the market.”
