National Work from Home Day on Friday 15th May

It’s the fourth National Work from Home Day on Friday 15th May 2009, which encourages us all to try out working from home for a day instead of commuting to our usual place of work. (We at The Fonecast don’t need any encouragement… and we imagine most of you feel the same!)

The organisers estimate that 5 million people will be taking part. Not only does it have the potential to cut costs and boost productivity, home working could also help businesses remain effective if the fear or reality of swine flu restricts travel.

The whole thing is promoted by the not-for-profit Work Wise UK organisation. They’ve created an entire Work Wise Week, which starts tomorrow with ‘Mobile Office Day’.
