Nokia opens Ovi application store

Nokia’s Ovi application store – officially “Ovi Store by Nokia” – launched worldwide this week. The company says an estimated 50 million Nokia device owners using more than 50 different devices can now visit store.ovi.com to download applications, games, videos, podcasts, productivity tools, web services and location-based services. The UK is one of the countries where Nokia also offers a mobile client and (theoretically) operator billing. [Press release]
