Mobile phones prevent stabbing and bank robbery

An Atlanta man escaped serious injury after a robber tried to stab him but hit his mobile phone instead. Joseph Wescott, who was working in the Beverage Mart liquor store, then managed to grab his gun and shot the robber before using his mobile to call police.

And an armed bank robber in Boston was apprehended when a bank employee sent a text message to a colleague at a nearby branch. Police officers arrested the man as he left the bank.
