European mobile ad revenue to increase by 50% per year

A few weeks ago we reported that global spending on mobile advertising was forecast to increase to $5.7 billion (£3.5 million) by 2014. Now a Euro-centric survey from FirstPartner says that mobile advertising revenue in Western Europe will increase by 50% every year between now and 2013, exceeding €950 million (£813 million) in 2013. The UK will lead this growth, generating over €200 million from mobile ads by 2013. Mobile search will continue to be the most dominant revenue stream. [Press release via Free-Press-Release.com]
