Blyk set for new Orange partnership

New Media Age says ad-funded virtual mobile network Blyk is in talks with Orange to offer younger Orange customers credit for voice calls and text messages in return for receiving advertising messages. It would be the first such partnership since the MVNO moved away from its direct-to-consumer model earlier this year. The two companies already work closely together, with Orange providing the mobile network for Blyk’s customers. It could also be seen as a step towards Orange taking over Blyk’s virtual mobile network in the UK.
