Mobile phone sales are picking up, says ABI Research

ABI Research says 269 million handsets were shipped in the second quarter of 2009 – and it expects the figures to build throughout the rest of the year. It points to Samsung, LG and Nokia as all having increased sales. As a result, it’s revising its mobile phone sales figures for the year. Having previously forecast that the world market would shrink by 8.1%, it now says it’ll only shrink by 7.5%. [Press release]
