Financial betting service uses iPhone cameras to verify official ID

XP Capital introduces Jumio Netverify

Financial betting platform XP Capital has started enabling new customers to verify their age and identity by holding official documents in front of an Apple iPhone camera. The company’s iOS app has integrated Netverify from Jumio, which can scan driving licences, passports and ID cards and then confirms their authenticity.

As a result, XP Capital can quickly ensure that players are an appropriate age and are who they claim to be.

Roman Gromov, CEO of XP Capital, said “XP Capital is all about simplifying financial betting and every aspect of our user interface, deposit process and customer acquisition process supports the XP Capital brand. We wanted a verification provider that can quickly and simply verify customers from all over the world and Jumio came highly recommended. Jumio’s innovative approach to customer identification simplifies the customer account creation process.”

Jumio was founded in 2010 by CEO Daniel Mattes. Its iOS and Android Netverify Mobile technology was launched in February this year and now works with official ID from around 80 countries worldwide.
