Deutsche Telekom to bid for USA’s third-biggest network?

The Sunday Telegraph says Deutsche Telekom is talking to advisors from Deutsche Bank about a possible bid for Sprint Nextel, the third-largest mobile operator in the USA. Sprint is currently valued at £6.3 billion. DT already runs T-Mobile USA, which is the country’s fourth-biggest network. This comes just a few days after DT agreed a UK joint venture between its T-Mobile brand and Orange.
