Apple sells one million iPads within a month

Apple says it sold its one millionth iPad on Friday, which is just 28 days after the device was launched on 3rd April. (It's also the day the 3G-enabled version went on sale in the USA). As a comparison, the company took 74 days to sell its first million iPhones. In addition, iPad users have downloaded over 12 million apps from the App Store.

UK pricing for the Apple iPad should be announced next Monday (10th May), with the device going on sale later in the month.
