O2, Orange and Vodafone iPad tariffs revealed

Apple has published UK price plans for 3G service on iPad devices. O2, Orange and Vodafone are all offering tariffs for Apple iPad owners when the device becomes available on 28th May.

Pricing is pretty similar between all three networks, although O2 is the only network that lets customers connect from the device without making a phone call or visiting a store.

O2 charges £2 per day for 500MB of data, £10 per 30-day 'month' for 1GB and £15 per month for 3GB. Each includes access to BT Openzone and The Cloud WiFi hotspots at no additional cost.

As we mentioned last week, Orange offers 200MB of data for its £2 daily charge. It's the only operator with a weekly tariff: £7.50 per week gives 1GB of data. £15 per month provides 3GB of mobile data plus a BT Openzone WiFi allowance, while £25 per month offers 10GB of data + WiFi.

And Vodafone has just two iPad price plans: £10 per month for 1GB and £25 per month for 5GB.

In each case, the micro-SIM card will add an extra 20p to the cost of buying an iPad from the Apple store.
