Sony says LG mobile phones violate its patents

Sony Corporation has filed legal complaints with the US International Trade Commission in Washington and a court in Los Angeles, complaining that a number of LG phones use Sony technology without its permission. Eight patents are involved, covering a number of user interface and technical features.

The ITC has the power to block imports of products to the USA if patents are being infringed.
