Vodafone Australia hits the headlines for alleged security breach

Details of Vodafone Australia customers, including addresses and credit card details, are reportedly insecure and can be obtained by unauthorised people.

Customer information is available via a secure web portal that’s accessed by employees and dealers using a login and password. However, it’s been claimed that criminal groups have paid for illegal access to the customer data. Concerns have also been expressed that the information isn’t hosted on an internal computer network but is instead available online.
