Three UK extends 'all you can eat' data to all smartphone contract customers

Three.co.ukThree UK is extending its ‘all you can eat’ data deal to all smartphone customers with a ‘pay monthly’ contract. The option, which was launched last December on a single tariff, will cost an extra £3 per month and will be available from 7th October 2011.

Last month, the average Three UK customer with an iPhone 4 was using almost 1.2GB of data per month - more than double the 488MB that an average customer used in February. In addition, more than 98% of upgrading Three customers now choose a smartphone.

Thomas Malleschitz, marketing director at Three UK, said “The One Plan quickly became our number one contract tariff and our all-you-can-eat PAYG offer is our most popular bundle. From October 7th we’re opening up all-you-can-eat to everyone else, starting from as little as £18 per month. Our customers tell us that their use of data goes up significantly over the lifetime of their contracts, as they do more and more with their handset. All-you-can-eat data means that they don’t have to worry, they can have that peace of mind for the long term on a contract of their choice.”
