Dell launches its own Enterprise Mobility Management solution for smartphones, tablets and laptops

Dell, which recently became a privately-owned company under the chairmanship of founder Michael Dell, has announced a new Enterprise Mobility Management solution. Dell’s EMM combines its mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), mobile content management (MCM) and a Secure Remote Access gateway.

Together, these elements form a new software package designed to support businesses that allow employees to ‘bring your own device’ or ‘choose your own device’. It’s compatible with iOS and Android smartphones plus Windows, Android and iOS tablets as well as Linux, Mac and Windows laptops and desktops.

This enables businesses to manage devices, apps and content when equipment is connected to the company network.

Dell EMM will be sold as an annual software subscription licence from next year in the USA and Canada.
