Mobile entertainment industry could grow anywhere between 7% and 19% per annum

The uncertainty surrounding the current global recession means that revenue generated by the mobile entertainment market could reach nearly $36 billion in 2010 - almost 19% growth per year - but could be as low as 7% annual growth if the recession continues. Juniper Research said mobile TV, user-generated content and music were most likely to be affected by a continuing recession, while adult services and gambling were less exposed to the uncertainty. However, whatever happened, it reckoned that mobile music would remain the largest single mobile entertainment sector. [Press release]
