35% of eight year-olds have mobiles, says charity

The Personal Finance Education Group - a charity dedicated to finance education - says technology is fuelling the hunger for money, with what it describes as "the average eight year-old" already owning a mobile phone. However, the charity then says 35% of eight year-olds have a mobile, rising to 85% at the age of 12... which seems to contradict their so-called average. [Press release]
