Mobile payment users to increase 70% this year

Research company Gartner says the number of mobile payment users around the world will increase by 70.4% this year – up from 43.1 million in 2008 to 73.4 million people. It says the number of mobile payment users will exceed 190 million in 2012, accounting for over 3% of all mobile phone users around the world.
