Orange UK launches £5 monthly tariff

The phrase “shake up the mobile market” seems to be turning up a lot recently. We’ve had Vodafone’s application shop, we’ve had 3’s Skype deal- and now we have Orange introducing a £5-per-month mobile phone tariff. It’s not all good news, of course – there’s a 36-month minimum contract term -  but you get a Nokia 2630 phone, 50 minutes of calls and 50 free texts for your fiver every month. [Press release]
