O2 UK is encouraging mobile broadband users in Manchester to exchange their current broadband dongle for a free O2 dongle. It’s launching a mobile broadband ‘amnesty’ in its stores across the city from 17th to 30th July, giving away O2 Pay & Go dongles in exchange for a competitor’s dongle. The company says the so-called amnesty is intended to show the benefits of O2’s customer service and easy to use products… although it seems you’ll end up being an O2 customer whatever happens.
