Global partnership for Nokia and Microsoft

Microsoft and Nokia have formed a “global alliance to design, develop and market mobile productivity solutions”. It’s hard to tell exactly what the full extent of this deal means - but we’ll definitely be seeing Microsoft Office software on Nokia’s Symbian-powered smartphones… and some commentators have suggested it could even affect the development of the Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems, although both companies say that’s not the case.
