Nokia losing WiFi market share as shipments increase

In the second quarter of 2008, over half of all WiFi-equipped mobile phones were made by Nokia. That figure has dropped by ten points in the last year, according to a new report from In-Stat, with Apple and BlackBerry devices increasing their market share. In-Stat says total WiFi/mobile handset shipments have increased significantly over the last few years, with consumer adoption propelled by the Apple iPhone. [Press release]
