Orange creates its own social networking application

Orange has launched a beta version of ON, a mobile social networking service that links with other social networks and instant messaging services.

The ON service – which runs as a free application on selected handsets across all networks – can also control the user's mobile phone so that it only rings for certain people. (For example, you could only accept weekend calls from your friends). It's currently available for Android devices, with versions for iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows Mobile phones expected next year.
