Sony Ericsson's new smartphone has green credentials

The latest addition to Sony Ericsson's GreenHeart product portfolio is a smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. The Sony Ericsson Aspen uses the new Windows Mobile 6.5.3 version, offering a choice between a 2.4-inch touchscreen and a conventional keyboard. Availability is Q2 2010.

As well as the standard range of Windows Phone applications – including Internet Explorer Mobile, Microsoft Office Mobile and Outlook Mobile – there's a 3.2 megapixel camera, assisted GPS and a number of pre-installed SPB applications. The 'green' features include a power saving mode, the eco mate application, an e-manual and recycled materials in the charger, hands-free and packaging. Availability is planned for Q2 2010.

Quentin Cordier, Global Marketing Manager for Sony Ericsson, said "Sony Ericsson Aspen is the business phone with a conscience, perfect for any consumer or company who want to make a green choice in their daily work life."
