Carphone Warehouse launches mobile music streaming service

The Carphone Warehouse has launched a music streaming service called 'Music Anywhere'. It's been created for them by Catch Media and will cost £29.99 per year. This fee lets users 'stream' all the music tracks from their personal collection via The Carphone Warehouse’s online My Hub portal to a desktop computer, laptop, smartphone or PDA.

As part of the launch, The Carphone Warehouse has created what it's describing as its first-ever mobile application - the Music Anywhere App – which is available to download from the Apple App Store, Android Market or BlackBerry App World. The app automatically downloads and stores the users 500 favourite songs, ensuring music is always available even if there's no internet connection.

Tom Guy, Group Head of Digital Services at The Carphone Warehouse, said "We all have a cherished music collection that brings together our favourite mix of songs. The new Music Anywhere service lets you listen to this wherever you are, through any computer or by downloading the mobile App. In just a few minutes you can have thousands of tracks available from home, at work, on the train or in the car!"
