Oracle files Java-related lawsuit against Google over Android

Business computing company Oracle has filed a legal complaint against Google for patent and copyright infringement. It centres on Google's use of Java software. Oracle took control of Java when it bought Sun Microsystems a few months ago.

Karen Tillman, representing Oracle, said "In developing Android, Google knowingly, directly and repeatedly infringed Oracle's Java-related intellectual property. This lawsuit seeks appropriate remedies for their infringement".
