Samsung shows projector smartphone at Mobile World Congress

Samsung has revealed a new smartphone called the Galaxy Beam, which includes a 15 lumens projector. It’s designed to let users share photos, videos, games and other multimedia content by projecting them on walls, ceilings or other flat surfaces up to 50 inches wide.

JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, said “GALAXY Beam provides mobile freedom, enabling a unique shared experience around digital content for everyone—anywhere and instantly—from a smartphone as slim and portable as any on the market. GALAXY Beam is a device borne out of Samsung’s insight and innovation, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to providing extraordinary experiences for consumers with products that let them express and fulfil themselves.”

The Galaxy Beam is an Android device with a 1.0GHz dual-core processor and a 2000 mAh battery.
