Debenhams introduces free WiFi in partnership with O2

UK department store Debenhams is introducing free WiFi across all its 167 shops following a recent three-store trial. The service will be powered by O2.

The company is promoting the service in conjunction with its mobile-enabled website and mobile applications. If an item isn’t in stock locally, shoppers are encouraged to scan the product barcode and order it online.

Around 20% of Debenhams online traffic now comes from mobile devices. Over a million people have already downloaded one of the Debenhams apps.
