Vodafone introduces its new Carrier Services business

Vodafone is launching a new Carrier Services business, combining the carrier businesses of its operating companies with those from Cable & Wireless Worldwide. This means it already has over a thousand communications service provider customers and partners worldwide.

Vodafone Carrier Services will provide fixed-line and mobile services to other communications businesses.

Brian Fitzpatrick, the newly-appointed CEO of Vodafone Carrier Services, said “The industry needs to work together to solve the commercial, operational and technical challenges of delivering end-to-end telecoms services. Vodafone Carrier Services aims to promote collaboration in the global telecoms industry – bringing together carriers and service providers from the fixed and mobile worlds to deliver new services and drive innovation.”

The new business unit will debut at International Telecoms Week in Chicago this week.
