HP expands its computing range with an Android-based business PC

HP has announced a new ‘all-in-one’ business-focussed computer that uses the Android platform.

The HP Slate21 Pro AiO has been revealed alongside a number of Windows-based all-in-one PCs. All the computing technology is built into a 21.5-inch HD touch screen, running Android 4.3 on an NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core processor. It’s supplied with a number of productivity apps and is certified ‘Citrix ready’ for corporate IT systems.

Enrique Lores, senior vice president and general manager for Commercial PCs at HP, said “HP’s multi-OS approach showcases our innovation and allows us to deliver the right product for our customers’ needs, giving them all the flexibility and ease of use they need from a business PC. The HP AiO PCs announced today highlight how businesses of any size can increase employee productivity by leveraging the growing Android ecosystem, all while being budget friendly.”

The HP Slate21 Pro AiO is launching in the USA with a starting price of $399 including keyboard and mouse. It follows the launch of the consumer-oriented Slate 21 (currently discounted to £279) a few weeks ago.
